Holidays are coming, holidays are coming! I love a Christmas market. They are one of my favorite things to do in the run up to Christmas. What is better than spending time with your friends and family than having a glass of mulled wine or hot chocolate, all wrapped up underneath the twinkly lights?
This month I popped along to the Roundhouse in Derby to visit the Derbyshire Christmas Market. It was our first year attending and each year it grows and grows with thousands of shoppers visiting to browse over 100 independent food, drink and gift stalls.
If only the was a letter 'L' in the bunting my life would be complete!
As my Mom, Auntie and I wandered round, our eyes literally popping at the beautifully laid stalls, we could of easily spent a fortune. There is so much creative talent around, it was wonderful to see it all under one roof.
I brought this little beauty for our tree
I mean just look at that cake!
Love them or hate them, sprout season is here!
We spent the afternoon in the tea room exhausted from hours of shopping. A truly wonderful event and we'll be back next year to sample the spring/summer market!
We don't live to far from Birmingham and will be off to our annual pilgrimage at the German Market next week. Are you visiting a market this year? Which are your favourites?
