Deck the halls with boughs of holly, Fa la la la la la la la! Christmas wreath workshop

December 4, 2017

This weekends wreath making workshop was so much fun! I was so impressed by all my lovely work shoppers who weren't afraid to get their hands dirty and get creative! All their wreaths were beautifully designed.

It all started by an early 4am trip to the Birmingham Horticulture Wholesale Market. I've not been before and i'm so glad I did! It was a fantastic sight of fresh produce, meat, fish and horticulture traders, well worth a visit if you can be bothered to get up early. There's so much happening at this time of day.

 {The 4am start on Friday morning was so worth it!}

Gorgeous seasonal red berries and snow berries. I went specifically to pick up some varieties of eucalyptus. I love the smell, it reminds me of my wedding bouquet.  I brought the silvery classic and a green feathery variety. The rest of the greenery came from the garden and nearby woods.

{I had a couple of extra helpers turn up to get the process of organising and preparing for the workshop the day before, isn't my niece Charlotte cute!?}

 Lots and lots of prep!

It was soon the weekend and time to for the workshoppers to arrive - this was the calm before the storm.

Big love to my little helpers, Momma and Mandy. I couldn't have done it without them.

Homemade treats baked by Momma and I went down a storm with a glass of prosecco- the work shoppers needed to be hydrated and it's Christmas after all!

 Me finishing off the mince pies! Yum!
