Travel // Bali, The Perfect Honeymoon Destination

August 15, 2018

In terms of luxury, you are going to struggle to find a better destination than Bali. If you were to talk to a group of different people and ask them about their dream destinations, you can be pretty certain that Bali would feature. This is especially the case when it comes to honeymoons, as it is widely considered a location that is great for couples. But why is this the case? Let’s take a look at three key reasons...

A honeymoon is about enjoying marital bliss and treasuring some romantic time together before you go back to your normal lives. Bali presents the perfect place for this, as it is home to some of the best spas in the world. Most of the spas are situated in hotels, and you can book treatments without staying in them. In fact, this is what most people do.

If there is one thing that Bali does well, it is luxury. If you do a quick search on the Internet, you will see that the villas are truly spectacular. In particular, private accommodation in Uluwatu comes highly recommended. And, as you will discover in the next section, there is a lot to do in Uluwatu too.

Enjoy the amazing food  – The cuisine is truly amazing in Bali. Canggu is a foodie’s paradise. There is something for everyone to enjoy here, from fusion food to local delights.

Sekumpul Waterfalls – We have to mention the Sekumpul Waterfalls. There are many different waterfalls in Bali, but this is special. The only trouble is that a 40-minute hike is needed to get there. This adds to the magic of it, though, as the location is so remote.

Visit the dinosaur head of Nusa Penida – Another suggestion is the dinosaur head of Nusa Penida. The views here will take your breath away. To get here, 40-minute boat trip from Sanur is needed. However, this adds to the fun and luxury of it.

If there wasn’t enough, you can expect all of the following:

  • A huge selection of traditional Balinese museums and painting galleries

  • A huge range of traditional and cultural performances in dance and music

  • Witness musical instrument makers, stone carvers, and woodcarvers and a lot of other artisans

  • Visit traditional textile-making

  • Witness religious activities and visit the many temples

  • Wild water rafting

  • Mountain hiking

  • Surfing, including kite surfing

  • Snorkelling, diving, and swimming

So there you have it: it’s not hard to see why Bali is such a popular place for couples, is it? From the various places to visit to the relaxing spas and the amazing villas, Bali has it all.
